Academic Math Tutor

About us; Peak Learning Solutions, the greater Denver area's premiere educational services provider, is currently hiring experienced and knowledgeable Advanced Math instructors. Qualified candidates should be able to tutor students in a variety of Math courses. You must be willing to teach at the office location in the Denver Tech Center. Teaching virtually is also an option for some students, but we are committed to offering in-person services. Job Responsibilities: work one-on-one and in small groups with students in areas in which you are qualified (assessment required). Utilize multiple teaching modalities to achieve student success. Assess and evaluate student progress and adapt instruction as needed. Communicate regularly with parents, director and others regarding work with students. Document work with students and email notes to parents after each meeting. Required Education/Experience: - minimum of a 4-year bachelor's degree (graduate level preferred) - minimum of one year of classroom teaching experience or two years alternative experience (e.g. tutoring) - Additional requirements: laptop computer, basic computer skills, passion for teaching and education, strong interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to engage and inspire learners, warm and friendly disposition. - $35/hour is our minimum starting rate. However, rates depend on experience and skills as well as level of tutoring conducted - higher levels of tutoring demand a higher rate of pay. Starting pay goes up to $45/hour. - Geometry, Calculus, and AP Statistics are in high demand and offers the top end of our starting pay scale at $39-$45 an hour. - Make and manage your own schedule. Students are assigned to you and you will be expected to meet with them, typically, twice a week.
