Primary responsibilities include maintaining metadata standards, regularly refining product attributes (sales copy, keywords, and product classifications) to improve visibility and sales ranking at Amazon, and managing key administrative tasks.\r\nWhat You Will Be Doing:\r\nAssist Sr. Manager, Digital/Editorial Operations with database and metadata management.\r\nReceive daily metadata change requests, make all updates in our Title Management (TMM) system, and send out a change confirmation email.\r\nTroubleshoot and address metadata and feed issues.\r\nExecute metadata feeds.\r\nAct as a liaison with the distributor for metadata when needed.\r\nReview metadata in batches monthly to make sure it's up-to-date and of high quality.\r\nAct as TMM and metadata backup when Sr. Manager is out.\r\nManage the complete metadata for at least one PRPG imprint.\r\nPrepare each season's metadata for the S&S sales meeting.\r\nRun tip sheets for licensors, receive approvals, and lift NFOs at S&S.\r\nTroubleshoot issues at retail.\r\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams-including marketing, editorial, and sales-to ensure that retail product online listings are accurate, compelling, and optimized for search and media performance.\r\nUse AI tools to optimize description copy, taglines, BISACs, and keywords as needed to improve discoverability on Amazon and other e-commerce sites.\r\nAssist with upcoming e-commerce initiatives.\r\nManage PRPG Search Inside uploads for Amazon.\r\nManage metadata art uploads, including trade cover mocks, final covers/interiors for trade, Walmart/Target uploads, the RDS library, and others as needed.\r\nAudit and ensure the RDS library remains current, including replacing cover mocks seasonally and as needed.\r\nAssist with entering and managing all necessary metadata for proprietary titles in TMM to facilitate F&O set up and integration with the publishing operations workflow.\r\nEnter all co-edition data into TMM.\r\nAssist with the eBook conversion and publication process.\r\nChoose, file, and track Lexile measures seasonally and update TMM accordingly.\r\nAttend regular art and touch base meetings.\r\nReceive and respond to reader mail.\r\nOther duties may be assigned, directed, or requested.\r\nWhat You Will Need:\r\nBachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications or a related field is required.\r\nMinimum of five (5) years of publishing or metadata experience is preferred.\r\nMinimum of one (1) year of experience with Firebrand's Title Management (TMM) system is preferred.\r\nExperience with books and knowledge of editorial procedures is preferred.\r\nExperience using AI tools to optimize metadata and maximize discoverability is preferred.\r\nExperience with Macintosh and InDesign is preferred.\r\nExcellent editing, writing, proofreading, and communication skills.\r\nStrong project management, time management, and organizational skills.\r\nEfficient at multitasking and able to handle multiple projects within tight deadlines with minimal supervision.\r\nStrong to advanced experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.\r\nMust have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.\r\nAbility to speak with all levels of the organization and outside partners.\r\nAbility to write routine reports, SOPs, and correspondence.\r\nAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.\r\nA methodical and organized approach to problem-solving.\r\nThe work performed is in an office environment.\r\nThe noise level in the work environment is usually moderate at low decibels.\r\nMust be able to work in a fast-paced, team environment.\r\nSalary: $75,000.00 - $78,000.00Employee Benefits Include but Are Not Limited To:Health Plans -Medical, Dental & Prescription Flexible Spending Accounts -Health & Dependent Care Disability, Life and Accident Insurance Vacation Pay & Paid Holidays 401(k) with Company Match Author Events Publisher-sponsored Book Club\r\nReaderLink is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
