Please, contact us at (843) 300-3001.\n\nPathologist\nJob Description\nShall provide needed physician services, in the medical specialty of anatomic pathology at and for the laboratory. Physician will need special expertise in anatomic pathology. May be required to perform all, or a combination of the duties described depending upon their assigned work area and the specific needs of the company.\nDuties and Responsibilities\nProvide anatomic pathology services to clients of AP Laboratories. Assist AP Laboratories in providing laboratory supervision services consistent with the requirements of the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act “CLIA”.\nWhen needed, provide supervision of the day-to-day testing activities conducted at all laboratories staffed by AP Laboratories.\nCoordinate with AP Laboratories to select, establish, and quality control all testing procedures within all laboratories staffed by AP Laboratories.\nBe available by cellular phone at all reasonable times.\nAssist other AP Laboratories pathologists in the selection, establishment, and maintenance of appropriate quality control for all testing procedures within any laboratory facility at which Physician provides coverage.\nCoordinate with the other AP Laboratories pathologists to assure adequate levels of technical staffing and professional competence of technical personnel at any laboratory at which AP Laboratories provides coverage.\nEstablish adequate technical back-up for personnel at any laboratory at which AP Laboratories provides coverage.\nProvide, as necessary, clinical interpretations of tests performed at any laboratory at which AP Laboratories provides coverage. Suggest appropriate projects and facilitate an on-going research and development program.\nAdhere to and ensure compliance with the standards of federal, state, city and voluntary accrediting bodies.\nParticipate in strategic planning, medical operational review, and budget planning as required.\nParticipate in the development and implementation of marketing plans as appropriate for AP Laboratories.\nRegularly participate in detailed quality assurance at all levels. Retain exceptional expertise in pathologic interpretations.\nEnsure all Quality Assurance as per accreditation and AP Laboratories requirements.\nRequirements\nDoctor of Medicine (M.D.) is required.
