This role is ideal for a hands on security professional who thrives in fast moving environments and enjoys solving complex cloud security challenges while enabling innovation.In this position, you will help secure emerging AI and agent based capabilities within Google Cloud Platform while partnering closely with architects, engineers, and developers. You will design and implement secure access controls, troubleshoot security issues, analyze cloud activity, and provide practical guidance that balances security requirements with business needs. Your expertise will directly influence the security posture of critical cloud platforms and next generation technology initiatives.Key Responsibilities• Design, implement, and manage GCP security controls across cloud platforms and services• Create and maintain IAM roles, permissions, and access policies following least privilege principles• Configure and support VPC Service Controls to protect sensitive cloud resources• Analyze security logs, investigate access issues, and troubleshoot authentication and authorization failures• Partner with development teams to enable secure access without creating overly permissive permissions• Evaluate and implement security capabilities related to AI, agent platforms, and emerging Google Cloud technologies• Provide security guidance, document recommendations, and support architecture decisions for cloud initiatives• Monitor evolving GCP security services and recommend improvements to enhance platform protectionKey Requirements• 5+ years of information security experience with at least 3+ years of hands on Google Cloud Platform security experience• Deep expertise in GCP IAM, role creation, service accounts, VPC Service Controls, and Google API security management• Strong experience implementing and troubleshooting cloud security controls in enterprise environments• Knowledge of GCP logging, monitoring, auditing, and security investigation practices• Exposure to AI, agent based technologies, model security, or Google Cloud Model Armor is highly preferred• Understanding of web application security, protective controls, and security technologies commonly used to secure cloud workloads• Proven ability to work directly with engineers, architects, and stakeholders to solve complex security challenges• Strong communication skills, sound judgment, and the confidence to escalate concerns when appropriate• Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and a security first mindset when making recommendations and handling sensitive situations• Curious and adaptable learner with a passion for emerging AI and cloud security technologiesWork Environment• Contract to hire opportunity through the end of the fiscal year with strong potential for long term conversion• Remote candidates will be considered• Candidates located in or willing to relocate to the Nashville area are highly desired• Opportunity to work on cutting edge AI and cloud security initiatives within a highly collaborative platform teamWhy ApplyThis is a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact on large scale cloud and AI initiatives while working alongside experienced security and technology leaders.
