Work daily with customer to ensure proper staffing, training, execution and process improvements on a daily basis.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop standardized processes within in-plant logistics / production support areas\nLead, develop, teach and execute problem solving activates\nDevelop yearly / monthly budgets, create variance to actual reports\nFully understand visual management and how to implement within process\nDrive accountability within Team\nLead large scale projects / process changes within the production environment\nProvide technical knowledge and problem solving skills to encourage better decision making.\nPerform other duties as assigned or as may be necessary.\nEnsure the complete safety of everyone in the work environment.\nDemonstrate role model behavior for safety, integrity and ethical standards as well as portrayal behaviors consistent with the Leadec lean manufacturing culture.\nAssist in the deployment of Leadec contracted and subcontracted service activities using Leadec developed Throughput Management, Top 5, Problem Solving, Lean Business System, Lean Manufacturing Production System, First Time Capability, philosophies.\nEscalate issues and problems up to Leadec Regional Manager and staff when appropriate.\nProvide leadership training for Leacec team leaders as well as mentor and coach on-the-job.\nParticipate in the hiring process for new employees if requested.\nParticipate with plant personnel in supplier equipment \"buy-off\" activities as required.\nActively drive out waste from all Leadec activities through the use of the Leadec lean manufacturing production system.\nBe a student and teacher of the Leadec lean manufacturing production system.\nCreate a work environment in all service areas which supports Leadec's lean manufacturing culture and positive employee morale.\nResolve any and all employee relations issues for team leaders and team members.\nFollow the Leadec recognition and discipline procedures to maintain high employee morale and discipline in the organization.\nDistribute, advocate, and discuss organizational information with Leadec team members.\nCompetencies:\nCustomer Service Orientation- Satisfying customers.\nAdaptability- Willingness to deal with unexpected challenges or circumstances.\nProblem Solving- Defines complex problems and brings about viable solutions.\nLeadership\n- Strives to delegate, balance workloads and achieve consensus; has a flexible yet effective management style.\nKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:\nThis position requires that the person be a highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.\nMust be VERY customer friendly and know how to communicate on a daily basis\nMust have strong leadership skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.\nMust be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.\nMust be computer literate, particularly in shop floor control, production planning, and inventory control applications.\nMust be extremely organized.\nPosition Requirements:\n4 year engineering degree preferred. (Industrial Engineering)\n5 plus years' experience in a manufacturing facility.\nPhysical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:\nThe employee is required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface from 4-8+ hours.
