Qualified candidates must be U.S. citizens with a TS/SCI clearance and Full Scope Polygraph.\n\nResponsibilities:\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., processing-intensive analytics, novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets, real-time systems, and business management information systems).\nContribute to cutting edge development programs and design new solutions for radio frequency (RF) signal processing applications.\nDevelop analytics, visualization and discovery tools.\nIntegrate new and legacy software across a variety of hardware form factors.\nReview and test software components for adherence to design requirements, document test results, and resolve software problem reports.\nUtilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.\nProvide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.\nAnalyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.\nDebug existing software and correct defects.\nProvide recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.\nDesign and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.\nIntegrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.\nDevelop data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories.\nDesign or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.\nPerform quality control on team products.\nConfer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.\n\nRequired Qualifications:\nExceptional integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to MTSI's core values.\nSeven (7) years of prior work experience as a software engineer or developer.\nProficiency working in Linux development environments.\nProficiency coding in Python, C++, Java, or JavaScript.\nExperience with Git, GitLab, IDEs (e.g., VSCode, Eclipse, etc.).\nAgile framework experience (i.e., Scrum, etc.).\nExcellent oral and written communication skills.\nStrong customer service skills.\nAbility to work with personnel across multiple disciplines and organizations.\nStrong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.\nAbility to work well independently and as a team member.\n\nDesired Qualifications:\nExperience with Software-Defined Radio (SDR) programming.\nExperience with geospatial processing.\nExperience coding 2D and 3D image displays.\nExperience with GitLab, GitHub, or similar version control tools.\nExperience with Jira/Confluence or similar project management tools.\nExperience with Python and SQL.\nExperience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS GovCloud.\nExperience with ETL frameworks.\n\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor's degree in computer science, computer programming, engineering or relevant technical or analytics discipline from an accredited university or college. (A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.)\n\nClearance Requirements:\nTS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph\n\nTravel Requirements:\nN/A\n\nThe pay range for this position is $110,000 to $295,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
