This role requires strong storytelling ability, technical expertise, and the ability to work effectively under deadline pressure.* ## **Essential Duties & Responsibilities*** Shoot video and sound for news reports, including live shots, interviews, and breaking news coverage* Collaborate with reporters, producers, and assignment desk personnel on story development and execution* Set up and execute interviews while capturing strong, relevant b-roll* Edit video for broadcast and digital platforms using non-linear editing systems (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)* Operate live transmission equipment (TVU, Dejero, or similar) as assigned* Assist with newscast editing as part of cross-training* Maintain and properly care for station equipment and vehicles* Perform other duties as assigned* ## **Requirements & Skills*** Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating video recording equipment* Television news photography experience preferred* Proficiency in non-linear editing systems (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred)* Strong understanding of visual storytelling, lighting, composition, and audio techniques* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment* Strong communication and organizational skills* Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines under pressure* Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays* Valid driver's license with a clean driving record* **Education & Experience*** High school diploma or equivalent required* Degree in broadcasting, journalism, or related field preferred* **Work Environment & Physical Requirements*** Ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-driven environment* Lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds* Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and severe weather* Operate cameras, computers, and vehicles for extended periods### About Us**Nexstar Media Group, Inc.
