It sounds simple, but is actually incredibly rare in the technical writing industry. We’ve been in operation for 2.5 years, and are currently revamping docs for companies ranging from giant organizations like Qualcomm and American Express to smaller companies like Aptos.We’re looking for software engineers who want to:Work directly with clients.Work from home.Actually deliver value with what you write (whether that’s writing docs content or code).Work with other developers who are engaged and excited about their work.Use all the tools in their toolbelt to write great docs.That means using code, AI, and products like Pipedream to improve how we write / generate docs.Bigger picture, DevDocs works with clients to anchor ourselves in problems people care enough about to pay for. The general workflow is: talk to clients, experiment with solutions, do it manually to understand the nuance, then automate the work using our in-house tools. Then, for the next client, we use the automations to improve our service and make better sales. The goal is to create standalone products we can sell alongside our service business.DevDocs is a startup, so there’s plenty of work to expand into. They need to significantly revamp their documentation, focusing on security and privacy by keeping it behind an authentication wall.
