You will take orders and serve food to patrons at the dining establishment. Remain attentive to patron dining experience, accommodate special requests and exceed service standards as established by the restaurant. Completes all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed. Controls allocated guest checks by following established check-use procedures and legibly documenting all required information as the customer's order is taken and processed. Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment to safeguard customer and company. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.\r\nEssential Functions:\r\nEnsure that all food and drink orders from customers are accurate and brought to each table in a timely manner\r\nRecommend appetizers and meals to customers based on the menu and specials\r\nWork closely with restaurant management to immediately address all customer concerns and create a pleasant dining experience\r\nConfirm orders with the chefs and bartenders whenever a clarification is requested\r\nConsistently offer professional, friendly and engaging services\r\nTake and expedite drink orders quickly and accurately; serve refills upon request\r\nConsistent restaurant presentation- utilize appropriate stemware/glassware as required by company standards, polish glassware, stock bar supplies to par levels, etc.\r\nAssist with setting tables and rearranging tables to accommodate larger parties\r\nFollow cash handling and POS procedures\r\nPrepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.\r\nFollow responsible alcohol service\r\nFollow departmental policies and procedures\r\nFollow all safety and sanitation policies\r\nOther duties as assigned\r\nQualifications:\r\nHigh school degree or equivalent; or relevant work experience\r\nMust have 1-2 years' experience in high volume, luxury lounge or restaurant\r\nMust have 1-2 years' hospitality experience working with high profile clients\r\nMeet minimum age requirement of jurisdiction.\r\nExperience providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.\r\nA positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with bussers, cooks and other staff.\r\nAbility to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner.\r\nStrong knowledge of wines, spirits, champagnes and\r\nPrevious point of sale system experience is an asset\r\nExcellent communication and organizational skills\r\nStrong interpersonal in working with high-profile clients and problem-solving abilities\r\nHighly responsible & reliable\r\nAbility to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times\r\nFlexible to work AM/PM shifts, weekends and holidays\r\nEager to learn and grow with restaurant\r\nMust possess valid ServeSafe and TIPs certification\r\nPhysical Requirements (including but not limited to):\r\nStanding and walking throughout shift\r\nFrequent lifting and carrying\r\nBending, kneeling, pushing, pulling\r\nEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
