POSITION SUMMARYThe Inventory Control Specialist role is to provide experience and expertise in performing daily cycle counts and reviewing and trouble-shooting inventory transaction issues. The successful candidate is highly competent in using the inventory systems, understands part consumption, and can analyze cycle count data prior to correcting / adjusting inventory. The Associate works cross-functionally with multiple teams to troubleshoot inventory inaccuracies while supporting corrective actions. Recommends remedial actions to resolve discrepancies.Assigns pick locations as needed for new products or when reorganization of materials is required.Provides accurate cycle count metrics to inventory control and financial leadersMeets or exceeds cycle count objectives and KPI's each week/monthPerforms and assists with variance reconciliation, and correction transactionsMonitors location aging reports and provides feedback to the materials team to ensure transactions are performed timely and accuratelyIdentifies inventory discrepancies, investigates root causes and recommends improvements to cross-functional teams for the purpose of obtaining high levels of inventory accuracyKeep and maintain supplies, tools, equipment and warehouse areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulationsComplete audit reports and inspection forms daily and as neededRead and act on Inventory alerts and complaints from other areas to ensure accuracy between all departmentsMay perform other assigned duties such as:Warehouse inventory maintenanceSAP updates on inventoryStock rotation and relocation when neededAssists in quality control, including all inbound and outbound shipmentsCoordinates outbound and inbound freight by taking appointment, calling carriers to pick up loads, and ensuring all product ships based upon customers expectations.Communicates with office sales personnel on shipping issues, trucking capacity, orders that are unable to ship or are returned, inventory discrepancies and labor capacity constraints.Coordinates container delivery and inbound/outbound process.Assists in pulling and receiving orders when needed.Assists in stocking when needed.Assists in warehouse re-organization of aisles when needed.Assists in looking for more efficient ways of daily functions.Issues written and oral instructions.Monitors and drives KPI and SOP performance to improve efficiency and performance of team.Responsible for the maintaining and caring for company owned or leased equipment.Accountable and responsible for high standards of warehouse cleanliness and organization.Additional Essential FunctionsAttendance/Punctuality Is consistently at work and on time; Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; Arrives at meeting and appointments on time.Work Location This work is critical to be conducted at the assigned office, with remote work not practical.
