Line Cook/Prep Cook

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in preparing high-quality dishes, supporting kitchen operations, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation, strong kitchen skills, and experience in various food service environments, including fine dining or catering. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and assist in the assembly of menu items according to recipes and standards Cook and plate dishes efficiently while maintaining quality and presentation standards Support the kitchen team with food prep tasks such as chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients Ensure all food handling complies with safety and sanitation regulations Assist in menu planning and daily specials as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment throughout shifts Follow food safety protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure proper storage of ingredients Support catering events or special functions as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within restaurant or food industry settings Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques Knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Experience with menu planning and meal preparation in a fast-paced environment Excellent understanding of food presentation and quality control Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team Fine dining experience or culinary training is a plus Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in food prep and presentation Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and maintain composure during busy hours This position is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts who want to grow their skills in a dynamic kitchen environment.
