Office Locations: Chicago or Oak Brook, IL, Philadelphia or Norristown, PA, Lake Mary FL, or Denver, CO\r\nWhat You'll Do\r\nDesign engineering systems in compliance with specifications, codes, and client requirements for overhead and subsurface utility projects\r\nDeploy creative and unique solutions to address complex electrical, structural, civil, and construction-related challenges\r\nOwn all phases of the design lifecycle from project initiation through construction completion and closeout\r\nPrepare detailed engineering and construction documents using AutoCAD, MicroStation, GIS systems, and client-specific enterprise asset management platforms\r\nAnalyze information from topographical surveys, utility atlas information, field sketches, client records, and manufacturer equipment datasheets\r\nDevelop utility pole loading models using structural software\r\nGenerate material and equipment purchase order requests\r\nPrepare reports and studies that present technical information clearly and concisely to meet client requirements\r\nWork with project management and engineering leadership to manage project risk\r\nCommunicate complex engineering matters to internal project management, engineering leadership, and field resources\r\nIndependently manage time and schedule to achieve project milestones\r\nPerform field walkdowns with internal staff, clients, customers, governance authorities, and construction partners\r\nTravel as needed, typically less than 25%.\r\nWhat You'll Bring\r\nAssociate degree in a related technical field (preferred)\r\nRelated technical certificates in CADD and related software platforms (preferred)\r\n2+ years of relevant experience\r\nAbility to work independently and in interdisciplinary teams\r\nStrong technology skills and understanding of the Office365 suite of tools\r\nIn-depth knowledge of 2D CADD software (Revit) including generating layout drawings and project materials\r\nUnderstanding of remote communication software\r\nAbility to quickly come up to speed on in-process projects and hit the ground running\r\nExperience collaborating with teams to complete larger projects\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills\r\nPersistence to see projects through to completion\r\nAdaptability to change in a dynamic team environment.\r\nWhat You'll Get\r\nOpportunity to work on diverse overhead and subsurface utility projects\r\nProfessional development through exposure to complex engineering challenges\r\nCollaborative work environment with interdisciplinary teams\r\nTravel opportunities for field work and client engagement\r\nCareer growth within the HBK Organization's Design Track\r\nComprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, disability and employer paid life insurance.
