This individual will be required to develop and implement methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and function as designed. Design and install sophisticated testing equipment and perform product testing and analysis to maintain quality levels and minimize defects and failure rates. Analyze reports and defective products to determine trends and recommend corrective actions. Collaborates with supplier representatives on quality problems, ensures that effective corrective actions are implemented and contributes to supplier quality improvement programs. Impact of the Role:\nGeneral Profile\nRequires conceptual knowledge of theories, practices, and procedures within a job discipline\nPerforms routine assignments using existing procedures\nReceives instruction, guidance and direction from more senior level roles\nEntry level to a professional career progression\nConsistent exercise of discretion & judgment\nEssential Functions:\nInteracts with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.\nParticipates in final system integration and validation to identify functional problems.\nDefines internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.\nCreates, documents, and analyzes the most complex test cases and provides feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.\nEnsures testing procedures are in compliance with any required industry specific standards.\nIdentifies chronic or systemic problems in testing and develops and implements improvements to process.\nMay coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts.\nRequired Qualifications:\nRequired education and experience: Associate's Degree and 0-3 years' experience\nDiscipline/Major: Engineering degree required\nCritical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)\nPreferred Qualifications:\nPreferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree\nKnowledge, skills & abilities: Conformance testing. Product testing. Test engineering. Quality standard development. Bug/defect identification. Industry standards. Test documentation. Bug tracking software. Software testing tools. Oral and written communication skills. Critical thinking.
