Early Head Start Teachers (Ages 0 to 3)
WE ARE PLCCA. PROVIDING A HAND UP, NOT A HAND OUT.
PLCCA – Proviso Leyden Council for Community Action, Inc – was established in 1968 to serve low-income residents in Chicago and Cook County. As a community action agency, we recognize the results that can be achieved when every facet of the community voluntarily joins together in a partnership to address common concerns. Through our approximately 30 community need-based programs, PLCCA is at the forefront in providing services that other agencies have traditionally avoided.
For more information about our organization, please visit us online at www.plcca.org.
We are seeking Early Head Start Teachers for the infant/toddler classrooms at our Debra Ann Porter Childcare Center in the Maywood neighborhood. The center enhances the childcare experience for low-income families to help revitalize the economy and create stable employment for low-income families. Our Early Head Start Teachers work with their classroom teams to implement a formal child screening process, a researched-based curriculum that addresses Early Head Start standards, ongoing child assessments, parent involvement, and community collaboration.
PLCCA invites you to apply and connect with us. Our team shares a deep commitment to supporting families and communities in becoming self-determined and therefore self-sufficient. We are proud to support our staff with benefits, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
