Theater Arts Teacher (007-82)

Primary PurposeDirect and manage the overall theatre program for the campus and district. Provide students with an opportunity to participate in extracurricular theatre activities and ensure compliance with all state and district requirements. Plan and administer theatre activities in accordance with campus and district expectations. Plan and prepare to provide students the opportunity to achieve district, region, and state recognition.QualificationsEducation/CertificationBachelor's degree from accredited universityValid Texas teaching certificateSpecial Knowledge/SkillsKnowledge of overall operation of theatre programAbility to manage budget and personnelKnowledge of state, UIL, TETA, and ITS policies governing theatre activitiesAbility to interpret policy, procedures, and dataStrong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skillsExperienceThree years teaching experience and Theatre directing/technical experience preferredSalary: Teacher/10 Months
