The ideal engineer has experience taking complex electronic designs from concept and schematic capture through PCB development, analysis, bring-up, testing, and validation.\n\nResponsibilities\nDesign and develop board-level power electronics and analog circuitry for aerospace and space applications.\nDesign high-efficiency DC/DC converters, switching regulators, power supplies, and power switching circuits.\nDesign circuits incorporating GaN FETs (GaNFETs) and other advanced semiconductor technologies.\nPerform detailed circuit analysis, including worst-case, stability, load regulation, and thermal analysis.\nDevelop electrical schematics and design documentation using OrCAD.\nCollaborate with PCB layout engineers and participate in PCB layout and design reviews.\nDesign and analyze isolated and non-isolated switched-mode power supplies (SMPS), power filtering, amplifiers, high-side FET drivers, and related analog circuitry.\nSelect components appropriate for high-reliability and space applications, considering derating, radiation tolerance, thermal performance, and reliability.\nPerform circuit simulation using SPICE-based tools such as PSpice or LTspice.\nIncorporate EMI/EMC, grounding, shielding, and noise mitigation considerations into board-level designs.\nSupport board bring-up, hardware validation, troubleshooting, and design verification.\nSupport integration of power electronics with electrical power, avionics, embedded control, and other spacecraft subsystems.\nCollaborate with systems, manufacturing, test, and other engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.\nGenerate and maintain technical documentation, engineering analyses, and design review materials.\nRequired Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.\n5+ years of hands-on electrical/electronic circuit design experience.\nStrong experience with power electronics and analog circuit design.\nExperience designing DC/DC converters, power supplies, switching regulators, and power conditioning circuits.\nExperience with isolated and non-isolated switched-mode power supplies (SMPS).\nHands-on PCB / board-level design experience.\nStrong experience creating electrical schematics using OrCAD or similar ECAD tools.\nExperience collaborating with PCB layout engineers and reviewing board layouts.\nExperience with SMPS, load switches, op-amps, comparators, filters, and FET-based switching circuits.\nExperience performing circuit simulation using SPICE-based tools.\nExperience with hardware bring-up, validation, and troubleshooting.\nPreferred Experience\nAerospace, spacecraft, defense, or other high-reliability electronics design experience.\n8+ years of experience developing power electronics boards for spacecraft electrical power systems or similar high-reliability applications.\nGaN FET / GaNFET design experience.\nExperience designing electronics for space vehicles or spacecraft power systems.\nAdvanced experience with OrCAD X, Allegro X, and/or Altium Designer.\nStrong knowledge of EMI/EMC design, grounding, shielding, and filtering techniques.\nExperience performing worst-case circuit analysis, stability analysis, load regulation, and thermal analysis.\nExperience with derating, radiation effects, component stress analysis, and space-qualified component selection.\nFPGA, microcontroller, or microprocessor-based control and telemetry experience.\nExperience identifying and resolving board-level design issues through Root Cause Corrective
