{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"6e4d089ab0bb79754f35d565","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6e4d089ab0bb79754f35d565","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/6e4d089ab0bb79754f35d565","title":"Engineering Technicians - 2nd / 3rd Shift","description":"Move Forward with Volt!\nVolt is immediately hiring Engineering Technicians in Pflugerville, TX.\nAs an Engineering Technician, you will:\nPerform complex engineering tests, checkouts, and development engineering tasks.\nDiagnose and isolates malfunctions to the component level.\nAnalyze engineering test results and implement changes to resolve problems.\nConduct operations tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications, collect data, analyze results and implement procedures.\nReview project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, test equipment, nature of technical problems and possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts or rearrangement of parts or subassemblies.\nDevises, fabricates and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, server systems, machine tools and measuring instruments.\nSets up and conducts tests of complete units and components under operational conditions to investigate design, or to obtain data for development, standardization, quality control and problem resolution\nAnalyzes indicated and calculated test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives and modifies or adjusts equipment to meet specifications.\nRecords test procedures and results, numerical and graphical data, and recommendations for changes in product or test method.\nMaintains software, documentation and equipment for the latest revision or operational specifications.\nAssists engineers in developing and designing hardware and software required to test customer products by their specifications.\nTrains technicians and operators on products, processes and equipment.\nAbility to write reports, business correspondence and procedures.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers.\nAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.\nAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nPossibilities of assisting with customer presentations and interfaces with customers.\nPossibilities of assisting engineers with outside third-party developments.\nOrganize documentation (specifications, schematics, and procedures).\nDevelops of tests per customer specifications.\nSchedule:\n2nd Shift: 3:00pm - 11:15pm (Monday – Friday) - Pay Rate: $22.55 per hour\n3rd Shift: 11:00pm – 7:15am (Sunday – Thursday) – Pay Rate: $23.06 per hour\nThe ldeal candidate will have:\n2 years of Equivalent Experience.\nAssociates degree, military training, equivalent vocational training preferred.\nAbility to communicate in English, skill written and verbal.\nComputer skills required\nAbility to read and comprehend instructions to complete tasks\nStrong manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination: Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n\nPayrate: $22.55 - $23.06 per hour - depending on shift\n\nPay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.\nQualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
