Join a team that values building quality projects, work-life balance, a positive team atmosphere, and FUN!Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance~401(k) retirement plan with guaranteed match~ Flex Spending Account~ Life Insurance~ Holiday pay~ Personal Uber rides~ Many company and community eventsDue to our growth, Key Construction has a need for an Estimator to join our DFW team.The Estimator is responsible for evaluating bid specifications and drawings to ensure that Key has all the required information to successfully bid and win a project while leading the estimating team.Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labor estimatesAccess cost effectiveness of products or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as project developsConsult with clients, vendors, project managers, owners, architects and/or engineers to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issuesConfer with engineers, architects and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to estimatesPrepare estimates used by management for planning, organizing and scheduling workPrepare estimates for use in selecting vendors and subcontractorsAnalyzing different quotes from Sub-contractors and suppliersAward contracts based on not only cost, but quality of workAt least 5 years of experience as an Estimator for a Commercial General Contractor is requiredExperience with On-Screen or other take-off software is requiredAbility to maintain confidentiality concerning financial informationExperience with Quantity Survey Method is preferredAbility to initiate and drive process improvementsAbility to work independently with minimal supervision and within tight deadlinesHigh level of proficiency of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)Relevant Project Coordination in the construction industry
