Administers contracts, manages cross-functional launch teams and maintains action item lists and NPI checklists. Utilizes a conceptual understanding of incremental margin, fixed/variable cost, absorption, and departmental rate determination.\nManages, communicates and makes recommendations to improve the New Product Introduction (NPI) and Customer Produced Product Transfer (CPPT) process on assigned programs. Assesses risk, develops solutions, implements change and communicates responsibilities across organization.\nUnderstands roles of functional departments, targets potential areas of concern and communicates issues to upper management.\nAdministers assigned contracts, communicates customer concerns, and recommends solutions.\nAssesses and adapts the companys business model to align with the customers business model.\nForms and manages cross-functional launch teams and drives regular team meetings to review progress. Generates and tracks cross-functional action item list and NPI checklist item archive.\nMaintains cash flow, program timeline, resource and milestone charts.\nGenerates, maintains and publishes weekly reports on cost, quality and delivery.\nCommunicates complex business and technical matters to all levels of the organization in report and action form.\n\nMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nKnowledge of cost accounting and proficiency in managing to timelines.\nAt least five years of experience in cross-functional project management (in two or more organizations); or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nAbility to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical publications and reports.\nAbility to clearly communicate and document communications both verbally and in written form.\nAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from small groups of managers, engineers, clients and customers.\nApplied engineering mathematics, statistics, and business and economic analysis.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.\nAbility to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.\nAbility to operate a computer and be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project for managing reports.\nMust possess a fundamental understanding of the business practice from the sales process through production.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nBachelor's degree in engineering or business\nKnowledge in materials procurement\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk. The employee is occasionally required to stand and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.\n\nWORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals.
