Configures, installs, monitors and maintains systems for inventory, asset and license management, O/S image and driver deployment, software deployment and packaging, client encryption, and automation scripts.\nResponsibilities:\nManages and monitors Altiris system servers, site servers, infrastructure and configuration, and works with Symantec support as needed. Coordinates with remote server team\nManages Dell Data Protection | Encryption system for client file encryption. Acts as enterprise administrator for all encryption issues and works with Dell support as needed\nEstablishes and maintains standards for operating system images and configurations, and updates and distributes images to multiple locations\nCreates customizations and/or automations for software installations or packages\nCreates queries, and/or modifies or consolidates statistical data for reporting\nEvaluates new equipment for purchase, and creates and tests driver sets as needed\nWorks on one or more projects concurrently as project team member/lead. Understanding of project life cycle management\nTroubleshoots network issues with the environment using networking fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures\nProvides technical support to diagnose, analyze, research and resolve computer problems for internal and external customers in a mid to large Windows Enterprise environment\nEffectively communicates complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical customers\nDocuments and tracks to resolution all project and support request/issues within ServiceNow ticketing system\nWorks with Client Technologies team and management to develop and document accurate operating procedures\nAssists Client Technologies Analysts as needed\nPerforms other tasks as assigned\nConducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Each essential function is required, although reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nQualifications:\nAssociates degree or equivalent work experience in technology field\nBachelor’s degree in computer related field preferred\nMinimum four to five years of experience in a technical support role within an information technology department as Tier 2 or Tier 3 support\nIT customer care background, hands on end user support experience, VDI or thin client experience preferred\nExtensive knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware\nFamiliarity with networking fundamentals, concepts, practices and procedures, Windows Server 2003/2008 administration\nIntermediate to expert knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems\nWorking knowledge of MS Office applications; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio and Outlook.
