Adjunct Lecturer - Information Technology Programs

Job DescriptionThe Information Technology Programs department at the School of Professional Advancement (SoPA) seeks qualified individuals for its part-time adjunct lecturer pool and welcomes applicants at any time. The specific courses involved will vary from semester to semester; openings to teach these courses develop on a periodic basis depending on department teaching needs. SoPA courses may be taught at the Uptown Campus in New Orleans or online.ResponsibilitiesThe anticipated need is for adjunct lecturers to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Information Technology that may include but are not limited to courses on our website at:B.S. in Information Technology (see “Major Requirements”) https://sopa.tulane.edu/degrees-programs/bachelors-degrees/bachelor-science-information-technology M.S. in Cyber Technology https://sopa.tulane.edu/degrees-programs/masters-degrees/master-science-cyber-technology Course descriptions for all out courses (UG and GR) are here: https://catalog.tulane.edu/courses/cpst/ QualificationsMinimum QualificationsDirect professional experience related to course offering is preferredMaster's degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or similar is required. Doctorate/terminal degree is preferred.Industry experience in technology position is preferred.Consistent access to broadband internet servicesConsistent access to/use of a computer/laptop to use for University business capable of running modern browsers (IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari) with modern camera and microphoneExcellent written and oral communication skills are requiredExcellent organizational and planning skills are requiredUniversity-level teaching experience is preferredFamiliarity with Canvas Learning Management System (LMS) is preferredApplication InstructionsCandidates must submit a cover letter and provide an updated CV.
