The Support Intern will be assigned a project to evaluate, improve, and automate important system or tool functions (i.e., security, server management, AWS management). The project will require the Intern to understand current implementation, research and propose improvements, and complete technical tasks that will enhance our organization’s Development Support and User teams requirements. The project would benefit the Intern by learning (1) Operating Systems and networking technology, (2) AWS Infrastructure environment, (3) Automation tools, and (4) Learn and collaborate with Development Support technical experts and professionals. The candidate will be provided with an opportunity to learn how the Support team manages, improves, and supports an AWS Cloud Infrastructure and Development servers and networks.\n\nCandidate will be exposed to:\n\nAutomation programming\nOperating Systems (Linux, Windows) and networking technology\nCloud technology (AWS)\nAgile Scrum Methodology\nSoftware Product Development, Quality, and Support\nProject Research, Implementation, and Executive Presentation\nArtificial Intelligence (AI) technologies\nTeam building and networking Activities\n\nQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)\n\nWorking towards a B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or Information Technology\nStudent must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program\nStudents must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher\nStudents are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire\n\nJob Duties and Responsibilities\n\nOur Interns will apply their education to meaningful projects in a team environment alongside a technical mentor. You will be exposed to many levels of management within our company\nRecommends solutions to problems/issues that impact the project\nDetermines and examines software alternatives\nContributes to project planning\nConstructively challenges and improves processes related to the specific assignment\nDocuments own work\nPresent project overview and summary to executive team at end of internship\n\nRequired / Preferred Skills\n\nKnowledge of Linux and Windows Operating System Installation, Support, and Troubleshooting\nInterest in learning System support and configuration\nInterest in languages (e.g., Bash, Python, Ansible, JavaScript, PowerShell)\nAnalytical and problem-solving skills\nKnowledge of Agile software development and support\nSystem skills on Linux and Windows platforms\nStrong communication and teaming skills Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment\nEffectively uses teamwork skills to interact and collaborate on technical issues with mentor / team\nPositively contributes to a high morale/high-performance team culture\n\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
