We are committed to achieving excellence in Environmental, Health & Safety through our Mission Zero initiative.MacLean Power System - Newberry is looking for a Afternoon Supervisor - Fiberglass CrossarmWe are seeking a self-directed and innovative Afternoon Supervisor to join our Production team, with a dedicated focus on Transmission and Distribution Fiberglass Crossarms serving the electrical utility market. This role is responsible for supervising production operations within an assigned areas or during an assigned shift.Job Duties·Supervise workers that operate production machinery, assemble items, perform quality control or package goods for shipmentNotify maintenance or engineering departments when equipment requires maintenance or repairMonitor output of assigned area(s) against established schedules or quality goalsCoordinate the flow of work through the department and ensure that department has sufficient levels of inventory to meet demand and is staffed appropriatelyProvide training and guidance to new employeesComplete all necessary documents fully and accuratelyAdhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area, etc.)Follow all Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assignedExperience and EducationKnowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practicesLead and direct the work of other employeesTypically have some authority for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance or disciplinary actionsMay provide leadership, coaching and/or mentoring to a subordinate groupTypically require accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 5 or more years of experienceCompetencies/Skills· Expertise in Automotives Industries· Analytical & Problem-Solving Ability: Proven strength in root cause analysis,corrective action development, and data-driven decision-making.· Technical Writing Proficiency: Skilled in drafting clear, concise, and accuratedocumentation including procedures, reports, and quality-related communications.· Customer Complaint & Failure Analysis: Experienced in investigating customercomplaints, conducting failure analyses, and preparing detailed technical reports.· Regulatory & Customer Requirements: Strong research capabilities and the abilityto make informed decisions quickly while ensuring compliance with customer-specificand regulatory standards.· Blueprint Interpretation: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawingsand specifications.· Statistical Tools & Concepts: Solid foundation in statistical analysis, includingcontrol charts, capability studies, and data interpretation.This is a onsite role - 101 Park Avenue Newberry, SC 29108EOE-Minority/Female/Disability/VeteranVarious agencies of the United States Government require employers to maintain information on applicants pertaining to factors such as race, sex, and type of position for which an individual applies.
