This position has potential for on-call support for operational needs.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\nContribute to the design, development, and testing of applications using modern standards\nShare O&M responsibilities with other members of the development team\nTranslate customer requirements into mockups and fully-functional applications\nInvestigate and seek new, innovative ways to improve user functionality\nEnter actual time worked, once complete, at the end of the day, or no later than 10:00 a.m. the following workday, and submit timesheets at the end of each pay period\nMonitor RSekure email on a regular basis, at least 3 times per week, and respond accordingly\nOther duties as assigned\nQualifications, Knowledge, and Critical Skills\nFamiliarity with GWT, ReactJS, BackboneJS, and Rails front-end\nStrong foundation in Linux\nExperience with AWS CLI, AWS, CDK, or AWS SDK\nExperience with Python and Bash\nExperience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle\nAbility to automate repetitive tasks\nKnowledge of Behavior and Test-Driven Development using Cucumber, RSpec, and supporting libraries\nFamiliarity with Restful web services\nExperience working in Agile teams\nStrong customer service skills\nStand-out Qualifications\nExperience with Node.js\nExperience with React\nExperience with Vue.js\nExperience with Apache Solr\nEducation & Work Experience\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field\n14+ years of experience in software engineering, application development, and/or web application development and deployment\n5+ years with Ruby, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, JQuery, Java, and other object-oriented languages\n5+ years of experience with Rails in varying versions\nCertifications, Licenses\nRelevant technical certifications (CompTIA, AWS, Microsoft) are a bonus\nSpecial Requirements\nTS/SCI clearance with a Full-Scope polygraph\nWork Environment\nEmployee will be working indoors in an office environment with other people. Typical indoor and computer related noise level, and typical office, paper, and equipment related dust. Exposure to video display terminals occurs on a regular basis.\nPhysical Demands\nTo successfully perform the essential functions of the job, the employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; see to read printed materials and computer screens; mobility to work in a typical office setting. Ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and may be required to provide recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format.
