We work out of our sunny El Segundo, California office.\n\nThe Horizon program is supporting Government weapon systems program offices with subject matter experts that have a background with the Department of Defense major capability acquisition process. Horizon team members provide systems acquisitions and program management support on various capability development programs that are intended to protect and defend the Nation's most valuable space assets. Our team is at the forefront of the advising and assisting the Government throughout the full lifecycle of systems acquisition processes that enable in most instances, rapid fielding to meet warfighter needs\n\nTypical responsibilities include:\n\nProvide advice to Program/Project Managers regarding acquisition strategies, schedules, contracting, budgeting and execution.\nPrepare periodic status reports, coordinate and execute periodic staff meetings and technical interchange meetings, and develop acquisition plans, schedules, and executive program briefings.\nDevelop, draft, and coordinate overarching program planning and execution documents as prescribed by/tailored from DoDI 5000.02 / Acquisition Framework, and relevant DoD, AF, and local unit policies that pertain to rapid prototyping.\nProvide programmatic assessments of contractor design/milestone reviews to assess mission requirements, risks & issues, and the ability to analyze schedules for impacts/opportunities to support mission readiness.\nProvide program element coordination, staffing and monitoring; advise and assist government customer regarding funding commitments, obligations, and expenditures as well as drafting and supporting delivery of program funding documentation and monthly financial reports.\n\nQualifications\n\nThis is you:\n\nBachelor’s degree in business management or equivalent business-related, or in engineering, and with six (6) or more years (Master’s degree four (4) or more years) in government weapon systems acquisitions, and program management or business management within the Department of Defense.\nExperience with the:\nDepartment of Defense Major Capability Acquisition (MCA) System process.\nJoint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) process.\nPlanning, Programing, Budget and Execution (PPB&E) process.\nMust have an in-scope security background investigation (T5 or SSBI), adjudicated for Sensitive Compartment Information (SCI) eligibility and enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program, (if applicable).\nMust be willing to be nominated for access to SCI and Special Access Programs (SAP) and willing to consent to a Polygraph examination.\n\nYou will wow us even more if you have these skills:\n\nMaster’s degree in business management, technical management, and/or engineering.\nProfessional certifications (e.g., PMI PMP).\nExperience in the National Security Space and, or the Space Control mission area.\n\nTarget salary range: $120,001 - $160,000.
