Line Quality Control Technician

Line Quality Control TechnicianThe Line Quality Control Technician is responsible for performing in-process inspection of products and ensuring the quality of product throughout production.Duties/Responsibilities:Follows standard operating procedures and controlled documents as outlined by the IKI Quality ManualVerifies the accuracy of raw components brought to the production linePerforms all testing outlined in master work order including in-process production data as well as packagingConfirms calibration of all gauges for accuracyWorks with QA Laboratory Technician to maintain proper calibration of gaugesCollaborates with mechanics and Production Line Supervisors to immediately communicate any results that are out of specification to ensure production meets all specificationsFollows proper procedure for alerting others within the IKI Quality Department for disposition of out of specification resultsDrives continuous improvement of testing procedures and documentation to ensure quality is maintained while optimizing efficiencyRetrieves in-process or finished product samples during production as required by IKI or customer and assists QA Laboratory Technician in management of samplesMeets deadlines in a timely and accurate mannerIdentifies gaps in process and procedureOther duties as assignedRequired Skills/Abilities:Attention to detail and thoroughnessCommunication skills-verbal and writtenQuality, GMP and industry knowledgeAccountability and responsibilityMaintain clean and organized workspaceEffective prioritization and self-motivation skillsAbility to interpret and correlate dataAbility to read, record data, and follow instructionsBasic math skillsTeamwork and positive attitudeTime managementEducation and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalentPrevious quality experience required, experience in manufacturing preferredPhysical/Safety Requirements:95% standing, bending and walkingAbility to lift up to 40 lbs.Hearing and eye protection required in production areas
