Develop mitigation strategies and trade-off assessments to guide engineering selections.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work across hardware, firmware, optical, mechanical, electrical, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure cohesive system-level solutions. Communicate effectively across disciplines to align stakeholders on requirements and priorities.A day in the life:Mornings typically begin with cross-functional standups alongside optical, electrical, and mechanical teams to align on sensor development priorities. Mid-morning involves customer calls — gathering requirements, clarifying use cases, and presenting technical trade-offs. Afternoons shift between benchmarking vying sensor technologies, updating product requirement documents, and collaborating with product managers on roadmap selections. Time is also spent examining market trends, reviewing architecture proposals, and documenting technical challenges that impact customer enablement.
