Role Description We are seeking a full-time Staff Counsel to join our legal team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. This is an on-site position. The Staff Counsel will provide legal counsel across various departments, draft and review contracts, ensure compliance with applicable laws, and develop legal strategies to support business goals. Responsibilities include negotiating agreements, researching legal matters, mitigating risks, and advising on complex legal issues relevant to the entertainment, sports, and philanthropy sectors. Qualifications Strong expertise in contract drafting, reviewing, and negotiatingExcellent legal research and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and apply laws and regulationsProficiency in providing strategic legal guidance to businesses within the entertainment, sports, or philanthropy sectorsEffective written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and clarityAbility to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlinesJuris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active membership in the New York State BarFamiliarity with intellectual property law and media law is preferredPassion for the entertainment, sports, and social impact industries
