We hope you will consider joining our team!\nJob Overview:\nThe Purchasing position is responsible for leading purchasing activities, developing and executing sourcing strategies for manufacturing materials, components, and services. This role focuses on supplier selection, cost optimization, contract negotiation, and ensuring supply continuity while maintaining quality and compliance standards. The position works closely with production, engineering, and suppliers to support production goals and long-term business objectives.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies aligned with company goals\nIdentify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers based on cost, quality, capacity, and reliability\nBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance (quality, cost, delivery)\nMaintain accurate inventory data, setting reorder points to reduce stockouts and excess inventory.\nOversee and execute purchase orders, monitoring order status through the supply chain\nNegotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements with suppliers\nEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements\nAddress quality issues with suppliers and coordinate resolution with affected parties\nResolve supplier issues, delays, or quality concerns\nRequirements for success:\nBachelor's degree in supply chain, business, or related field\n5+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment, preferred\nPreferred qualifications for success:\nStrong negotiation, analytical, and supplier management skills\nExcellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nProficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment\nExtreme attention to detail and ability to work with little supervision\nManufacturing experience\nExcellent computer skills: excel, word, power point.\nGreat Benefits:\nHealth insurance with low deductibles and co-pays\nDental, vision and orthodontic insurance\n401K with company contribution and match\nPrescription drug coverage\nLife and disability insurance\nAttractive vacation and holiday package\nTime for a better job?\nIf Thombert sounds like the company and job you have been looking for, please apply on-line at www.thombert.com today!
