Handyman Technician – Property Restoration

Job Overview Disaster Shield is seeking skilled and dependable Handyman Technicians to assist with residential and commercial property repairs resulting from water, fire, storm, and general damage. This role is ideal for hands-on professionals who take pride in quality workmanship and enjoy helping customers restore their properties after unexpected events. Location: Sarasota–Manatee North Sarasota Core Sarasota Barrier Islands Tampa Bay Metro South Sarasota / Charlotte Corridor Southwest Florida Core Disaster Zone Responsibilities Perform general repair work, including drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and minor plumbing/electrical Assist with restoration and repair following property damage Inspect job sites and determine appropriate repair solutions Safely and efficiently use hand and power tools Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas Communicate professionally with customers and team members Follow company safety standards and procedures Requirements Previous experience as a handyman, maintenance technician, or similar role Knowledge of general construction and repair techniques Ability to work independently and problem-solve on site Physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing manual labor Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation Strong work ethic and dependable attendance Preferred (Not Required) Disaster restoration experience Relevant certifications (IICRC, OSHA, etc.) Bilingual candidates are a plus What We Offer Competitive pay Steady work with growth opportunities Training and skill development Supportive team environment Meaningful work helping people recover after disasters How to Apply To apply, please call: (941) 297-4615 Qualified candidates will be contacted promptly.
