The successful candidate will manage the egg processing operations. The position provides direction and supervision to processing team members to achieve quality, safety and operational goals. This position is responsible for day-to-day operations and overall processing results for this location.\nResponsibilities :\nProvide the leadership necessary to obtain the goals set by Corporate Management.\nContinuously lead Safety and bio-security program and initiatives for the processing facility.\nLead site processing operations in obtaining goals,\nMonitor and coach processing team members to make them successful in assigned tasks,\nResponsible for timecard review and team member performance management\nLead biosecurity and safety program initiatives. Support other safety matters throughout the Complex. Ensure that all employees are working safely. Manage retraining and implement change with purpose and urgency.\nOversee regulatory compliance and quality programs,\nOversee processing maintenance activities,\nLead a continuous process improvement initiative. Continuously look for opportunities to make processes more efficient and in alignment with overall organizational goals.\nReview processing reports, conduct trend analysis and make decisions to maximize efficiency of processing operation.\nEnsure compliance of all company policies and procedures.\nMonitor individual performance of employees and provide guidance where necessary.\nRequirements (knowledge, experience, skills, education)\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint\nand Outlook\nDemonstrated ability to effectively speak, read and write in English.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively manage team members.\nUnderstanding of and ability to troubleshoot basic mechanics and to guide processing maintenance team.\nMust be a hands-on and interactive manager willing to teach/train team members.\nAbility to understand and implement company quality policy, food safety fundamentals, safety and conduct policies.\nAbility to understand and ensure facility remains current and operates within all industry regulations.\nAbility to motivate and lead employees.\nPreferred Qualifications (knowledge, experience, skills, education)\nBachelor's degree in agriculture, business, or relevant course of studies\n3-5 years of Management/supervisory experience\nPrior experience in an Egg Processing Facility\nExcellent leadership skills\nAbout Opal Foods: Opal Foods was formed in 2014 and is a partnership between Rose Acre Farms and Weaver Brothers.
