Job Title: Bench Diagnostic Technician IIDuration: 2+ months | Potential ExtensionLocation: Allen, TX 75002Worksite: Onsite | 1st Shift 6:00 am - 2:30 PMPosition Overview The Bench Diagnostic Technician II will be part of the only North America repair and refurbished manufacturing center for Client's DVR systems and peripherals. This team is responsible for high-level diagnostics and additional troubleshooting beyond standard failure analysis. This is a non-soldering role focused on identifying root causes of electronic failures using test stations and diagnostic tools. Key ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot and diagnose electronic failures down to the component levelUse test stations and diagnostic tools to evaluate Mobile/Fixed Video systemsInterpret schematics, engineering documents, and inspection reportsCommunicate findings with Engineering and Customer Service teamsPrepare diagnostic reports and recommend repair/replacement actionsOperate within SAP for defect tracking and resolutionSupport multiple product lines through cross-training and process flexibilityMinimum Requirements4-7 years of diagnostics experience with analog and digital circuit boardsStrong problem-solving mindset and ability to identify root causesExperience with burn-in and functional test processesFamiliarity with digital electronics including microcontrollers, memory, FPGAs, and low-power signalsKnowledge of ESD practices and safe handling proceduresAbility to read schematics and trace components on PCBAsBasic understanding of computers, networking, MAC IDs, and IP addressesEducationHigh school diploma or GED (required)Associate degree or higher in a related technical field (preferred)Physical Requirements: Sitting role; must be able to lift 10-50 lbsPreferred Certification: IPC 610 or J-STD soldering training/certification
