As a fast-growing company, we are expanding our team in Turkey, NC and are looking for driven individuals to join us.\nAbout the Role\nThe Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leadership role responsible for equipment reliability, maintenance execution, and safety compliance across Phinite's production facility. This role works alongside maintenance technicians and directly supports the Maintenance Manager to keep operations running safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate thrives in a startup environment, brings strong mechanical and electrical fundamentals, and takes pride in building systems and teams from the ground up.\nCompensation & Advancement\n$27–$32/hr (starting at $27/hr during a 3–6 month probationary period)\nPay increases based on contribution and impact on operations\nKey Responsibilities\nLead commissioning, startup, and acceptance testing of new equipment including mixers, bucket elevators, conveyors, baggers, dust collection systems, pumps, compressors, and boilers.\nSupervise and work alongside maintenance technicians performing mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work on production and material handling equipment.\nEnforce and set standards for companywide safety policies and operational expectations.\nEnsure equipment reliability and minimize downtime by quickly troubleshooting failures and conducting root cause analysis on recurring issues.\nImplement and enforce OSHA and process safety requirements related to material storage, confined spaces, hot work, and lockout/tagout (LOTO).\nMaintain and update equipment files, PM procedures, and maintenance history in the CMMS, including critical spares lists for key assets.\nSupport development of operating and maintenance SOPs, PM checklists, and emergency procedures.\nParticipate in incident investigations and safety audits; drive corrective actions and train maintenance staff on safe work practices.\nSupport the Maintenance Manager with parts ordering and supply management.\nSkills & Qualifications\nRequired:\n3-5 years of maintenance experience in process, chemical, fertilizer, feed, grain, or similar bulk material or continuous production environment, including some leadership responsibility.\nStrong mechanical skills with conveyors, bucket elevators, mixers, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, lubrication, and industrial packaging equipment.\nWorking knowledge of basic industrial electrical systems including motors, VFDs, and sensors; ability to work safely around energized equipment.\nFamiliarity with OSHA requirements for chemical facilities, including storage and handling of fertilizers, and general industry safety standards.\nExperience using a CMMS or work order system, building PM routines, and maintaining accurate records.\nDemonstrated leadership, communication, and coaching skills in a small-plant or startup environment.\nWork Environment & Physical Demands\nThis role regularly involves working in dusty and noisy environments around bulk fertilizer, mixers, conveyors, and moving equipment.
