This is a key technical leadership position responsible for leading major data engineering initiatives and serving as a product owner for enterprise data platforms.The first major initiative for this role will be the implementation of a Finance Data Layer, a data lakehouse designed to provide data to Finance systems and applications, including EPM systems, BI reporting and analytics, and AI/ML applications.Key ResponsibilitiesLead technical teams through major data engineering and platform initiatives.Provide technical direction for complex data platform projects.Manage projects from planning through delivery while maintaining scope, budget, and timelines.Lead the development, testing, implementation, and continuous improvement of data solutions.Serve as Product Owner for enterprise data platforms.Define product strategy, vision, and roadmaps.Partner with business stakeholders to develop data solutions aligned with business requirements.Lead and mentor data engineers and individual contributors.Support career development and technical growth across the team.Communicate complex technical concepts and roadmaps to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Guide technical decision-making and collaborate across product and project teams.Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while maintaining high operational standards.Evaluate emerging data technologies and industry best practices.Required Qualifications8+ years of technical experience designing, architecting, and programming data solutions using Python, Scala, Java, or similar languages.Proven experience architecting and managing high-scale cloud data platforms.Hands-on experience with Snowflake is required.Strong expertise in enterprise financial data architectures, including FP&A, modern ledgers, and corporate consolidation workflows.Experience with HR data domains is preferred.Demonstrated experience working as both an Engineering Delivery Manager and Data Product Owner.Experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.Proven ability to lead large, complex, data-centric initiatives from inception through production deployment.Strong experience leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing data engineering teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.Ability to translate complex technical strategies for business executives.Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining scope, budget, quality, and deadlines.Strong interest in emerging data technologies and industry best practices.Preferred QualificationsExperience with SAP systems, including S/4HANA, BW, HANA, or BDC.Experience with EPM platforms such as Oracle EPM.Experience with AI/ML.Knowledge of Data Governance.Experience with Master Data Management.EducationBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience.Master's degree is a plus.CompensationThe hiring ranges are:Burbank, CA: $171,600–$230,100 per yearSeattle, WA: $179,700–$241,000 per yearOrlando, FL: $163,400–$219,100 per yearActual compensation may vary based on geographic location, internal equity, knowledge, skills, and experience.
