We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state‑of‑the‑art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world‑class engineering and manufacturing facility.\n\nThis is a full‑time position with a full benefit package listed below that includes opportunities for professional growth, direct hire by our customers, and additional opportunities within our own organization.\n\nEntry Level Electrical Engineer\nElectrical Engineering Technicians will provide machine test support, factory support, and factory tool requirement gathering. The primary responsibility of technicians is to build and service software systems and electronics that will be used in the next generation of precision agriculture equipment.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProcess requests by the Software Center of Excellence to install and test software on factory equipment and machines.\n\nGenerate reports on customer installed software and maintain database of released software.\n\nConduct field visits to customers and test sites to set up and execute tests.\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve test machine issues.\n\nAssemble harnesses for testing to support warranty investigation or general product development.\n\nMonitor inventory quantities and place orders to replacement hardware which maintains inventory of connectors to enable harness builds.\n\nGenerate monthly reports quantifying number of instances and time associated with test cell support and software management.\n\nRequired Experience\n\nAssociate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology.\n\nDemonstrated mechanical aptitude from past experience or hobbies.\n\nFamiliar with wire harness creation and basic electrical troubleshooting and circuitry.\n\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\n\nMust have a valid driver's license.\n\nAbility to travel to various local manufacturing and testing facilities on a regular basis.\n\nAbility to travel out of town for 2‑3 days will be required several times a year.\n\nDesired Experience\n\nExperience with tools including oscilloscopes, multimeters, voltmeters and other diagnostic equipment.\n\nFamiliar with software systems used for data management and reporting (Excel, PowerBI, etc.).\n\nGoal oriented individual with a passion for agriculture and off‑highway equipment preferred.\n\nAbout RFA Engineering\nRFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry‑leading customers since 1943.
