In addition to competitive compensation packages, our employees enjoy a range of programs, services and benefits that bring the best to their personal lives.Start YOUR career with DHL today…We have an immediate career opportunity for a qualified Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Maintenance Supervisor at our Erlanger, KY hub.Shift: 3rd shift, 11pm – 7:30am, Tuesday – Saturday (5 day / 40 hour week base schedule)Responsibilities:Safety First focused approach to leading staff, managing shop and conducting workSupervises employees to ensure maintenance objectives are accomplishedDemonstrates proven organizational skills in prioritizing work (scheduled / non-scheduled / emergency), maximizing team (coaching / engagement / productivity / quality of work, etc.)Adheres to and determines work standards, approves parts and materials requestsConducts shift briefings (PDs), shift turnover reports and participates in management meetingsInnovation champion supporting best industry practices and process improvementsReduces costs and waste of all types while increasing productivity & asset longevityCoordinates with DHL Operations regularly to ensure optimum equipment uptimeInspires a proactive maintenance environment by continuous improvement and root cause analysis competenciesWorks closely with each team member to support career aspirations Performs other duties as assigned or requiredPreferred Qualifications:Subject Matter Expert (SME) level understanding related to GSE Maintenance and Management 2 – 5 years of demonstrated experience leading teams, career advancement and progression of responsibilitiesDesire to further develop and lead a world class team committed to a zero defect approach to maintenance Strong PLC, electrical, diesel, vehicle HVAC, hydraulic systems, troubleshooting, and etc. skill set.Understanding of HR functions related to employee promotion and discipline interactionPositive mentor and role model acting as an ambassador of DHL on multiple levelsStrong communication skills (written and verbal) effectively interacting with techs through senior management levelsExtensive background in the preventive maintenance, repair and ongoing care of GSE consisting of ground power units, cargo loaders, belt loaders, ramp tractors, Ford vans, pickup trucks and shuttle busesHave general knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)Must understand and have the ability to interact with our computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).High School graduate/equivalent with multiple areas of technical training or technical school backgroundAble to pass extensive background check and drug screeningPhysical Requirements:Must be able to lift up to 70lbs regularlyMust be able to stand for long durationsMust be able to work in hot and cold environments to include outdoors in inclement weatherSome equipment reaches 7 feet or higher, must use ladders and to be able to safely work at such heightsWorking Conditions:The shop floor is a modern, well lighted environment with regular exposure to heat, fumes, loud noise level at times, slippery floors, dust, oil, moving equipment, etc.Proper use of ear protection, steel toe / slip resistant shoes, eye protection and other PPE is requiredMust be able to stand for long durations, sit, squat and navigate in and around equipmentSalaried position – must be able to adjust schedule based on work demands and weather
