Candidate must be proficient in developing and maintaining SQL databases, programming in MS Access, and developing web-based applications, preferably using PHP language and JavaScript for the front end and SQL Server as the back end. Under direction, controls and maintains the highly technical computer operating systems associated with computers and directs the operations, systems, and programming function toward optimum utilization of available hardware and software; does other related duties as required.\nJob Responsibilities:\nManage databases to allow secure and easy access to stored databases for authorized users.\nOversee the creation of improved structure and design of these databases, customizing them to meet specific needs of users.\nCoordinate and develop working relationships with IT users to support and develop in-house application in a cross-functional environment.\nBackup SQL Server databases.\nDatabase design and management.\nDevelopment of VB applications with MS Access as the front end and SQL Server as the back end.\nDevelop MS Access applications including data modeling, and creation of tables, queries, forms, reports, and macros.\nDirects the maintenance of records and files.\nWill be required to learn to utilize various types of electronic and/or manual recording and information systems used by the agency, office, or related units.\nSchedule: Full time (40 hours/week).\nEducation Requirements: Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science or equivalent.\nOther Requirements:\nMinimum of five years’ experience as a SQL Server Developer, SQL Database Programmer and MS Access programmer\nExperience in creating stored procedures, functions, views, and SSIS packages.\nExperience with scripting languages such as PHP.\nExperience with JavaScript (knowledge and understanding). Needs to be able to collaborate with back-end web developers.\nBasic understanding of front-end languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.\nProficiency in SQL Queries.
