The Agri-business Instructor must utilize multiple learning methods in and out of the classroom to maximize student learning in regard to business in agriculture. The successful candidate will have a strong background in both agriculture and business, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students of varying backgrounds and skill levels.Essential Functions/Duties:Curriculum Development: Develop and update course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and instructional resources, that align with industry standards and educational objectives.Classroom Instruction: Deliver engaging lectures, lead discussions, facilitate hands-on activities, and conduct practical demonstrations to impart knowledge and skills related to agri-business management principles, including finance, marketing, supply chain management, and sustainable practices.Student Engagement: Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving among students. Provide individualized guidance and mentorship to help students succeed academically and professionally.Assessment and Feedback: Design and administer assessments, such as exams, projects, and presentations, to evaluate student progress and comprehension. Provide constructive feedback and guidance to help students improve their performance and achieve learning outcomes.Industry Networking: Maintain connections with agricultural industry professionals, organizations, and stakeholders to stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and career opportunities in agribusiness. Collaborate with industry partners to enhance students' learning experiences through guest lectures, site visits, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities.Professional Development: Engage in ongoing professional development activities, such as attending conferences, workshops, and seminars, to enhance teaching effectiveness, expand subject matter expertise, and stay abreast of advancements in agri-business management.Required QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:A minimum of a bachelor's degree required in agricultural economics, agribusiness management, agricultural education, or a related field.Demonstrated expertise in agri-business management principles, including finance, marketing, supply chain management, and sustainable practices.Current and valid state-issued driver's licensePreferred Qualifications* A master's degree or doctoral degree is preferred.
