Our STEAM Instructors are asked to promote creativity, teamwork, and problem‑solving skills while educating students on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) concepts. Programs are conducted for children ages 2-14, although not all instructors are required to teach all age groups and we are currently hiring instructors with experience in the early years 3-6. This role requires internal collaboration and communication with Snapology leadership as well as representing the Snapology organization to parents & children with a high degree of professionalism.\n\nRole & Responsibilities\n\nLead groups of up to 15 students through curriculum‑guided activities\n\nInstruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment\n\nManage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures\n\nMaintain discipline in accordance with the rules and disciplinary systems of Snapology\n\nEncourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies\n\nAdequately prepare for each program by reading curriculum, watching training videos and/or participating in face‑to‑face training sessions\n\nHandle inquiries from parents regarding Snapology programs\n\nEncourage students & parents to enroll students in future Snapology programs\n\nParticipate in periodic Snapology training & staff meetings, as required\n\nQualifications\n\nCriminal and Child Clearances must be current\n\n2 or more years of experience working with children in a classroom or camp environment\n\nEducation degree or teaching experience recommended; teachers, and those pursuing a degree in education will also be considered for this position\n\nAbility to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others\n\nAbility to communicate effectively orally and in writing\n\nProven ability to report to work on a regular and punctual basis\n\nPrograms\n\nWeekday after‑school and/or evening classes\n\nWeekend workshops and/or birthday parties\n\nSummer camps\n\nSpecial events, holiday and break workshops\n\nThis position is part‑time.
