Be involved in projects with our PMCM Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.\n\nYour Impact\n\nComplete training on assigned tasks.\n\nProvide limited office management of a construction management project.\n\nReview and update schedules and record drawings.\n\nKeep logs of contract documents.\n\nAssists with construction field work tasks and activities (including road and highway inspection) on a project to ensure conformance to plans, specifications, and other contract documents.\n\nUpload documents to project's construction management document control site.\n\nPerform engineering submittal review for compliance with contract documents.\n\nObserve material test reports for contract compliance.\n\nPerform office engineer duties such as but not limited to material submittal reviews for contract compliance, take meeting minutes, process contractors pay estimates, respond to Request for Information (RFIs), and perform quantity calculations.\n\nRead and interpret construction drawings and specifications and identify discrepancies or conflicts within the documents.\n\nReviews contractor’s daily construction reports for accuracy, thoroughness and consistency.\n\nConsults with Resident Engineer on work progress and construction problems, proactively recommends solutions, assists in the resolution of issues, and acts as a liaison with the engineer of record.\n\nIdentifies some discrepancies or conflicts within documents and gains familiarity with the quality of work performed using inspection checklists.\n\nExercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.\n\nPerform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.\n\nWho You Are\nRequired Qualifications\n\nHigh School Diploma\n\nMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience.\n\nPrior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.\n\nExperience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.\n\nStrong technical writing, analytical and communication skills.\n\nDetail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.\n\nValid Illinois Driver's license.\n\nThe selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.\n\nProven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree.\n\nExperience with Office Engineering duties on large construction projects.\n\nExperience with Labor Compliance and verification of Certified Payrolls.\n\nE.I.T.\n\nExperience with e-builder.\n\nWSP Benefits\nWSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.
