Mental Health Technician

ResponsibilitiesLOVE WHAT YOU DO!This full-time opportunity as a Mental Health Technician (MHT) at River Park Hospital's Huntington location. The full-time position offers 40 hours per week and full benefits for full-time status. Mental Health Technicians develop and maintain a therapeutic relationship throughout the healthcare continuum. MHTs assure and improve quality care by facilitating the patient and family's right to receive safe, quality, and cost-effective care. MHTs maintain and protect confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care and information. MHTs demonstrate a commitment to meeting the learning needs of patients by utilizing appropriate resources to meet those needs and achieve positive patient outcomes. Technicians are required to conduct patient rounds related to routine and heightened observation status as well as interact in a therapeutic manner to decrease crisis within the patient care setting and finally, demonstrate respect and understanding for patients, peers and other clinical disciplines and participates as an effective member of the patient care team to implement an integrated approach to care whilst demonstrating leadership behaviors and commitment to the development of self and others.River Park Hospital, a 165-bed facility and a leader in behavioral health care, located in Huntington, WV. River Park provides acute inpatient services to children, adolescents, adults and seniors and features a 22-bed residential treatment program for children and adolescents and a 25-bed adult forensic unit.
