Warehouse ClerkThe Warehouse Clerk is responsible for accurate receiving and distributing of parts and units to internal and external customers.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the layout of the warehouse and bin/shelf location systemsRetrieve and/or put away partsVerify part numbers, quantities, and inventory locations to ensure accuracy of requestsFollow work instructions for discrepancies such as damaged, misplaced or part shortagesOperate all material handling equipment safely while adhering to all company and OSHA policies and regulationsWork closely with team leader to resolve any task concerns that arisePerform routine and assigned housekeeping tasks to ensure a safe work environmentAccurately read orders, locate inventory, and prepare for delivery to customerVerify parts numbers, unit types, and delivery methodPull orders for deliveries within the designated timeframeStrong attention to detailAccuracy in a fast-paced environment requiredStrong math and computer skillsAbility to break through barriers and investigate and resolve problemsPossess good oral and written communication skills, and the ability to work both independentlyAbility to lift 50 lbs. or moreForklift certification or the ability to obtainGeneral Physical Requirements: moderate to heavy work required to exert up to 40 lbs. of force regularly, occasionally, up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 75 lbs. of force rarely.Working Conditions: this position is subject to an inside working environment and will be exposed to:noise - loud, sharp, extended, impulse; up to, and occasionally more than, 85dBA (which may require use of hearing protection)working on elevated platforms, ladders, and scaffoldsPhysical Activities, Ergonomic Considerations: this position will be exposed to:standing, walking for majority of work shiftreaching in any direction, above and below shoulder levellifting, carrying, pulling, pushing objects weighing up to 100 lbs.performing work in a crouched, squatting, kneeling, or stooped position (body bent forward and down from waist) for extended periods of time,repetitive grasping, pinching with fingers; repetitive pulling, pushing, twisting of wrists, elbows, and shouldersbalancing while on an elevated work platform, ladder, or scaffoldstepping up to work surfaces up to 26 inches in height.HME is an Equal Opportunity Employer and provides equal employment and advancement opportunities to all employees and applicants.
