Project engineer interns will gain hands-on experience through assisting project engineers' management of project(s) by means of cost management and analysis, scheduling, billings, and project management. Project engineer interns will also be encouraged to observe, learn, and assist with field and office engineering, administrative, and technical duties. This role could potentially be working in remote areas of Alaska.\nMain Responsibilities\nEnsure a safe project site and work environment in accordance with Colaska policy, participate with Goal Zero principles.\nAttending pre-bid meetings and bid openings.\nWorks closely with the project team supervising the safety, cost, and scheduling of construction projects.\nAssists the project team in establishing the sequential steps involved in all processes with the scope of the project and adapts schedules and work tasks accordingly.\nEffectively lead the work environment to ensure safety, environmental, regulatory and production targets are met.\nDevelops and maintains customer relationships to improve company’s ability to procure projects, reduce risk, and ensure operational efficiency.\nRequirements\nMust be a self-motivated and can set deadlines and implement them.\nEnrolled in a bachelor’s degree program such as Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related field.\nMust be a U.S citizen.\nMust be able to pass a drug test.\nProficient in Microsoft programs.\nCapable of technical writing.\nSkills\nSelf-motivated and eager learner, ability to grow and develop within the field.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nBasic math skills with ability to calculate and analyze data.\nThe ability to work well with all levels of the organizations.\nHigh degree of problem-solving skills.\n\nColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
