UES is a nationwide leader in Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Materials Testing and Inspection, Building Code Compliance, Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Building Envelope.\n\nSummary\nThe Building Inspector is a key role, responsible for performing highly technical inspection work for the day-to-day completion of building inspections (Building, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing). The ideal candidate is a reliable, trustworthy individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment where both collaboration and autonomy are valued.\n\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Inspect commercial and residential buildings, which are under construction or are being repaired, remodeled or enlarged and is performed during various stages of completion to ensure structural integrity and compliance with building codes/ordinances.\nDetermines whether changes may be required in plans and makes recommendations to contractors, engineers, architects, etc.\nPerforms inspections of foundations, concrete slabs, framing, roofing, and related construction work\nMaintains accurate, complete, and current inspection records.\nExercises tact and courtesy when conducting inspections and dealing with clients.\nPrepare reports and report data in a complete, timely and understandable fashion and return as required to branch office. Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy\nOversee maintenance of company vehicle (take in to shop for routine maintenance including oil changes, tire pressure, fluid levels, etc.)\nCellular phones are to be worn at all times and calls are to be returned immediately.\nEnsure that project requirements are met and compliant with inspection specifications, requirements and company policies or procedures.\nAttend all department meetings.\nDrive to various job sites at locations both locally and throughout the State of Florida. Follow all Driving Laws when driving company vehicle.\nWork varying shift schedules as needed.\nMust be willing to travel within the state of Florida, if applicable\nComplete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy\nTurn in required paperwork daily.\nRegular attendance is required.\nMust be flexible to changing schedules and hours to support business needs.
