The ideal candidate will have a collaborative spirit and a commitment to supporting both our patients and our team's goals.Pay:$17.50 - $23.70 Per Hour DOESchedule:Monday - Friday w/varying shift start times (8-hour shifts); rotating Saturday shiftsBenefits:\r\nMedical, Dental, Vision with In-Network & Custom Network discounts\r\n401(K) with discretionary employer match\r\nPaid Time Off\r\nFree clinical diagnostic laboratory testing performed in house\r\nIn this role, you will be responsible for:\r\nAdministrative duties: Providing excellent customer service, answering phones, and monitoring for instrumentation alarms.\r\nTechnical responsibilities: Performing venipuncture for blood collection, obtaining additional specimen types as required, and preparing all samples for lab testing and screening.\r\nAccurate data management: Verifying specimen information, performing data entry, and properly identifying patient information.\r\nSpecimen handling: Receiving, processing, and packaging samples for referral labs while maintaining specimen integrity.\r\nCompliance: Following safety protocols, HIPAA policies, Medicare rules, and participating in quality assurance.\r\nFlexibility: Covering work shifts at different sites as needed to ensure smooth operations.\r\nReliability: Maintaining consistent, punctual, and reliable attendance to ensure continuity of operations and support for our team and patients.Education & Certification:\r\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\r\nWashington Medical Assistant-Phlebotomy certification (MA-P) is required\r\nExperience:\r\nPrevious on-the-job phlebotomy experience is preferred\r\nSkills & Competencies:\r\nStrong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with patients and team members\r\nExceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy\r\nExcellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently\r\nPhysical Requirements:\r\nLaboratory setting with automated equipment emitting ambient sounds.\r\nHigh level of staff interaction in close quarters; must hear alarms to ensure timely response to safety needs.\r\nRegular handling of potentially infectious samples, with required protective gear (lab coat, gloves, goggles, face shield).\r\nAbility to sit, stand, bend, kneel, crawl, twist, and walk on uneven surfaces throughout the day.\r\nFrequent bending, extended standing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.\r\nFlexibility to work extended hours or overtime as needed.\r\nOSHA Category:This role involves exposure to blood, body fluids, and/or tissues, with Hepatitis-B vaccination offered to all performing these duties.About Us:Interpath Laboratory is a family-owned and operated clinical and anatomic pathology laboratory serving communities across Oregon, Washington, Nebraska, and Idaho.
