The Litigation Associate will manage cases from intake through resolution, handling motion practice, pleadings, discovery, and trial preparation. This role requires strong legal writing, case management, and advocacy skills to advance client objectives in state and federal courts.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters, including pleadings, motions, and ongoing case strategy.\nDraft, review, and file complaints, answers, motions, briefs, and other court documents with precision and adherence to procedural rules.\nConduct factual and legal research to support pleadings, motions, and trial strategy; prepare memoranda and legal analyses.\nCoordinate and manage docketing, deadlines, and case calendars to ensure timely filings and compliance with court requirements.\nLead and supervise discovery processes, including document review, production, interrogatories, and requests for admission.\nPrepare for and take depositions; prepare witnesses for testimony and develop examination strategies.\nParticipate in motion practice including drafting and arguing motions and oppositions, and preparing supporting exhibits and declarations.\nAssist with trial preparation, including evidence organization, exhibit lists, witness preparation, jury instructions, and trial notebooks.\nEngage in settlement discussions and negotiations, prepare settlement proposals, and support mediation or alternative dispute resolution forums.\nCommunicate regularly with clients, co-counsel, and opposing counsel; maintain accurate case files and status reports.\nCollaborate with partners and support staff to coordinate litigation strategy, staffing, and resource allocation.\nUtilize litigation technology and case management systems to streamline document review, e-filing, and docketing tasks.\n\nQualifications\n\nJuris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and admission to the state bar (or ability to become admitted).\n2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; mid-level candidates with strong litigation credentials will be considered.\nProven experience in motion practice, drafting pleadings, and managing court filings in state and federal courts.\nDemonstrated skills in case management, docketing, and calendaring with strong attention to deadlines and procedural detail.\nExperience conducting and defending depositions and preparing witnesses for testimony.\nExcellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills, with the ability to produce persuasive briefs and client-facing communications.\nFamiliarity with document review platforms and litigation support tools; comfort with e-filing systems and case management software.\nStrong negotiation skills and experience participating in settlement discussions or mediations.\nOrganized, proactive, and able to manage competing priorities and a substantial caseload independently and as part of a team.\nHigh ethical standards, client-service orientation, and ability to maintain confidentiality and professional judgment.\n- For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
