Medical AssistantLocation: Central Health Plaza, 515 W 6th St, Jacksonville, FL 32206 Interview Type: In-Person Work Environment: Open workstation and clinical area Dress Code: Scrubs (Preferably Navy Blue)Position OverviewSeeking a certified Medical Assistant to provide direct patient care services of a medical nature in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on clinical experience, strong patient interaction skills, and the ability to maintain accurate medical records.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide direct patient care services in a clinical environment.Interview patients and obtain complete medical histories.Record and maintain accurate patient records.Administer and accurately read blood pressure tests.Perform phlebotomy procedures.Administer intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous injections.Distribute prescribed medications as directed.Utilize knowledge of basic medical terminology.Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and staff.Required QualificationsMust possess a valid Medical Assistant Certification.Knowledge of basic medical terminology.Experience with:PhlebotomyIM and subcutaneous injectionsBlood pressure monitoringPatient history documentationStrong communication and organizational skills.Technical SkillsExperience using Health Management System (HMS).Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.Additional InformationWork is performed in an open workstation and clinical setting.Candidate must attend an in-person interview.Must adhere to dress code requirements (Navy Blue scrubs preferred).
