Air Import Freight Forwarder

We are seeking an Air Import Freight Forwarder to manage time-sensitive air freight shipments, with a focus on aerospace, defense, and aircraft parts logistics. This role requires hands-on freight forwarding experience, strong customs documentation knowledge, CargoWise One proficiency, and the ability to coordinate with airlines, customs brokers, customers, and internal operations teams in a fast-paced environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate international air import shipments, including airline scheduling, routing, tracking, and delivery coordinationPrepare, review, and process import documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, air waybills, arrival notices, and customs-related paperworkWork closely with customs brokers, airlines, warehouses, trucking providers, and overseas agents to ensure timely shipment movementMonitor shipments from origin to final delivery and provide accurate status updates to customersResolve shipment delays, documentation issues, customs concerns, and other operational problems as they ariseEnsure compliance with customs regulations, trade laws, TSA/IATA requirements, and customer-specific SOPsMaintain shipment records and data accuracy in CargoWise One and other logistics systemsSupport high-value, time-critical, and regulated freight when neededPreferred QualificationsPrior experience in air import freight forwardingExperience with aerospace, defense, aviation, aircraft parts, or high-value freight strongly preferredCargoWise One experience highly preferredKnowledge of customs clearance processes, trade compliance, and import documentationStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressure in a fast-paced freight forwarding environmentAdditional language skills are a plus
