HIL Test Engineer

This project is to provide onsite support for automation development and maintenance. This project encompasses the design, development, testing, and maintenance of automated test procedures within Powertrain/Engine validation systems. The procedures will use NI test stand to automate the execution by simulating physical and/or datalink sensors (J1939, SENT, and LIN communication protocols). Support the development, maintenance, and operation of automated test procedures. Software development in Test Stand to implement test procedures Create and maintain design specifications, user manuals, and test reports as required. Comply with the Release process defined for the project. Work closely with engineers to build, troubleshoot, and maintain the test procedures. Support engineers by verifying the repeatability and reliability of tests. Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of test procedures. Assist with lab organization and maintenance activities as required. Contribute to the creation and updating of lab documentation. Work effectively with engineers and other technicians to achieve project goals. Communicate technical issues clearly and concisely. What you'll need to be successful:Essential:College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines. Experience developing NI TestStand scripts are highly desiredExperience with developing software test scriptsExperience working with J1939MS office suite solid knowledge is required.
