Accounting Specialist

As we continue to expand, we are searching for an Accounting Specialist.The Accounting Specialist will support the accounting team with daily operations, including posting journal entries, processing accounts payable, reconciling corporate checking accounts, and completing other general ledger reconciliations.Primary ResponsibilitiesAssist with implementation of specific automation initiatives within the departmentComplete reconciliation of ITM’s and ATM’s and work with front line to research and decision reconciling itemsReconcile corporate checking accounts, resolving discrepanciesReconcile daily business and verify check deposits with corporate checking accountsExecute the accounts payable process and work with users of the AVID systemFollow up on outstanding invoices with co-workers and vendorsGeneral ledger posting, reconciliation and researchResearch, track, and resolve accounting or documentation items including discrepancies.Perform balance sheet account reconciliationsPerform revenue and expense variance analysisOther duties as listed in the job description.Qualifications/Experience RequiredHigh school or equivalent required; postgraduate education in accounting or related field preferred.
